Native to the Great Lakes region, Katie has long been a collector of natural wonders. Her work captures the essence of objects smoothed by time and water, blending physical geology with interior craft. This fusion creates what she describes as “swept ashore cave decor.” Since earning her BFA in Ceramics in 2011, Katie has balanced her artistic practice with community workshops, teaching her approachable, lo-fi hand-building style across Metro Detroit. Today, her ceramics are created in her Hazel Park studio and found in select galleries and shops.
